For most purposes — insurance documentation, CAPEX planning, practice sale preparation, and M&A diligence — yes. Our AI-powered valuations are based on real market transactions and MSRP data from 230+ brands. For IRS estate purposes or litigation, a certified appraiser may still be required. But for the decisions most dental organizations make every day, DentalAssetIQ gives you faster, more current data at a fraction of the cost.

How current is the market data behind the valuations?

Our market observation engine scrapes real transaction data from multiple sources including eBay sold listings, dealer outlets, and dental equipment resellers — updated continuously. Most valuations reflect data from the past 30–90 days.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. Monthly plans (Solo Pro and Group Practice) can be cancelled anytime — your access continues through the end of your billing period. The Advisor License is an annual subscription; contact us to discuss early cancellation.

What's the difference between FMV and OLV?

Fair Market Value (FMV) is what a piece of equipment would sell for between a willing buyer and seller with reasonable time to transact — the standard for insurance, practice sales, and most M&A. Orderly Liquidation Value (OLV) assumes a forced but orderly sale — typically 55% of FMV. OLV is what lenders and PE firms use for balance sheet purposes.

At $1,997/year, it replaces the cost of a single certified appraisal for most advisors.

Is my data secure and private?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your equipment inventory and valuation data is private to your account — it is never shared with third parties, used to train AI models, or made available to competitors. We use Supabase with row-level security and Vercel infrastructure.
